Development Lifecycle

Phase 1 – Pre-registration website & campaign (April 2010)
We will be launching the pre-registration website initially in April 2010.  We will also be running a poster campaign in masjids and islamic institutions primarly in London and Essex. We will also be distributing promotional flyers at a variety of venues and muslim gatherings accompanied with business cards outlining the concept and idea.

Please note that the go-live for the full system will be in Autumn nearer to the end of August 2010. In the meantime, the goal of the pre-registration website is to accomodate the interest being generated by the promotional campaign. Muslims can simply browse to www.my-nikah.com and complete the online pre-registration form with names and email addresses. All pre-registrants will also be entitled to a handsome discount for being ‘early bird’ registrants. Having compiled this database of interested users we can later send them a email newsletter informing them of the launch of the complete service.

During this phase, we are working on developing blogs and friends networks using mediums such as facebook, twitter, myspace, blogspot, wordpress and various other mediums where the aim is to setup isalmic groups and networks letting people know of the service inshallah.

 

Phase 2 – Pre-launch party (July 2010)
The second phase is the pre-launch party. Basically, the aim here is to setup a promotional party in a halal and segregated environment where we can pull in a crowd of approxiamatley 150 – 200 people comprising of friends, family, business associates and islamic groups/asscoiations. The idea here is to deliver a power point presentation, display some snaps of the website, demonstrate a virtual tour of the website  and most importantly have a reputable sheikh inform the audience of the halal and shariah compliant service we aim to offer the ummah inshallah, removing the negative stigma attached with online matrimonial services.
 

Phase 3 - System go-live (July 2010)
During July 2010 we will be launching the full system inshallah. The targeted date is the end of July or first week of August. At this point, we will be looking to run email campaigns with all of the pre-registrations we have collected during phase 1. During this period it will be all hands on deck and all ‘my-nikah’ staff will attentively be dealing with registrations, email queries, user feedback, quality assurance and even testing.

 

Phase 4 – Radio & Television Campaign (August 2010)
Between now and the system launch we will be weighing up whether or not a radio (radio ramadaan) and television campaign (islam channel) will be benefical and cost effective. Inshallah, the objective is to heavily promote the service during ramadaan, to make people aware of this halal unqiue personal service, to educate families about the concept, to strcitly pass on the message that we do not condone dating, and inform the ummah that the system has been developed to strictly prohibit any direct communications online, and finally to convince users that safety measures have been put in to place to help them feel safe.  This campaign will help us to reach a mass audience and deliver the message nationwide.
 

Phase 5 – Global Peace & Unity Event (October 2010)
The Global Peace and Unity Event is taking place in October 2010. Inshallah, this will be a fantastic opportunity to promote the service in person and help to break barriers and communicate the message. We are making enquiries for setting up an exhibition stand with full on backdrops, tv screens, reception desk, banners, stands, brochures, leaflets, flyers, business cards etc etc to help aid muslims understand our unique service. A team of approxiamatley 10 people in branded uniform will inshallah be promoting the service during the 2 day event where on average approxiamatley 12000 – 16000 people attend over the 2 days.

 

Please note that although we would like to deliver the service on time and per the above scheduled dates, there is a possibility of delay as and when a unforseeable issue arises. We make the niyaah to offer a clean, halal, shariah compliant service unlike no other but ensuring all the safety nets are in place can sometimes take longer than anticpated. So please have paitience inshallah.
