Early Prototypes
Branding and marketing your company is extremely important and in most cases is the diminishing factor between success and failure. It is so easy to package your product/service but send out the wrong message. Although, we all think we know what is a good brand or a logo a professional branding and marketing expert can immediatley point out weaknesses and failures in a matter of seconds as i found out after the first prototype of the logo/brand for ’my nikah’.
See the first prototype of the ‘my nikah’ business cards which were immediatley withdrawn after publish and print to prevent harming the ‘my nikah’ brand.
In this scenario, the branding was deemed too commercial and may not have captured the correct audience. It was too similar to commercial household brands such as shaadi.com or match.com. Because of the negative stigma attached to online matrimonial services i.e. they promote dating and intermingling of sexes (which is strictly prohibited in Islam) the branding for the ‘my nikah’ online service was imperative to eliminate the negative stigma associated with online matrominals.
With the current branding, marketing and information management we believe to attract the muslims that adhere to the islamic shariah and are very much in touch with there deen. This was the whole emphasis of the service in the first place and what drove me to pursue the idea.
Inshallah, the current brand and marketing delivers the right message – we strictly adhere to the shariah and sunnah and hope to make it easier and more pleasing for muslims to find a suitable match inshallah.
